Jose Mourinho took charge of his first game as the manager of Manchester United against Wigan at the weekend, which ended in a 2-0 win for the Red Devils. Youngsters Will Keane and Andreas Pereira grabbed the goals in what ended as a comfortable pre-season win.
But there’s no time for rest, because the United squad are heading out to China for the International Champions Cup.
Manchester United take on Borussia Dortmund this Friday before facing Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City three days later. The club then end their pre-season tour with a game against Turkish giants Galatasaray.
And the club today confirmed the squad that will be going on the pre-season tour:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still on holiday and is yet to join up with his new teammates, but the club’s other two signings Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly are included.
Bastian Schweinsteiger is not included and reports today claim that Besiktas and Paris St Germain are both interested in taking the German midfielder.
Striker James Wilson, who has attracted interest from four Championship clubs, does also not make the squad.
