WAFCON: Nigeria vs Zambia

The Women’s African Cup Of Nations is coming to an end what can we say it has been an electrifying tournament with every team giving it all they could have given with passion and energy. We have come down to the best four teams the hosts Morocco, South Africa, Nigeria and Zambia. But before we get to the last two finalists that is Morocco and South Africa the Super Falcons will battle it out with Zambia for the third spot.

Nigeria have had a decent tournament but I know they wanted more than just fighting for third place but it’s football sometimes it doesn’t go the way you want. In this years’ tournament the managed to win 3 games and losing 2 one to Banyana Banyana and the other one on penalties to the host nation Morocco. Zambia have outdone themselves they have had an exceptional tournament to finishing 3rd would be a boost for them. They have managed to win 3 a draw against Cameroon and a loss to South Africa. In that process they have scored 6 goals and conceded 3 managing to score over 2 goals in 1 game. These two teams have met two times Super Falcons being victorious in both occasions. Nigeria have scored 10 goals in both matches while Zambia couldn’t find the back of the net.
