Granada vs Barcelona match preview

Barcelona visits Granada at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes in a match from the 9th round of La Liga. Please keep up with us and our free soccer tips for today. Let’s get to work!

We will start with Barca here. The Catalans are second in the league standings, but only one point behind Real Madrid. They are still unbeaten since the beginning of the season with a record of six wins and two draws.

Last weekend Barca achieved a difficult, but important 1-0 win against Sevilla at the Montjuic. It was Real Madrid’s legend Sergio Ramos who scored himself an own goal and delivered the win to Los Cules.

Barcelona’s manager Xavi Hernandez has some problems with injured players at the moment. The two influential midfielders Pedri and Frenkie de Jong are not available while Raphinha is also recovering from his latest injury.

Xavi could make rotations because of the Champions League game against Porto on Wednesday. He needs his team to be as fresh as possible. Ferran Torres could start in the attack while the young gem Fermin Lopez is an option for the midfield. The captain Sergi Roberto could return to the team as well.

Gavi was the man of the match against Sevilla last week. The young midfielder is becoming one of Barcelona’s leaders on the pitch. Despite his young age, Gavi is showing a lot of promise. Maybe he’s going to be one of Barcelona’s captains in the future.

Barcelona are playing well but they lost two points in their last away game against Mallorca. Now the Catalans must ensure that they are going to be more clinical against Granada. They need the win here because the title race is going to be intense. Every point is going to be crucial.

Granada are one of the weakest teams in the league since the start of the season. Paco Lopez’ boys are in the relegation zone with just 5 points won so far. They have won just one of their matches during the campaign.

Last weekend Granada made their second draw for the season – 3-3 against Almeria away from home. It was a marvelous performance by the team because they were three goals behind in the scoreline. Granada still managed to win a point, though. Bryan Zaragoza, Ricard Sanchez and Myrto Uzuni scored for Paco Lopez’ team.

Just three players have scored 9 of Granada’s goals this season – Lucas Boye, Myrto Uzuni and Bryan Zaragoza. Meanwhile Real Madrid’s former star Jose Callejon still seeks his first league goal for the season. Maybe Barcelona is a proper opponent for him to do so? Because of his time with Real Madrid’s shirt, of course.

That’s the free soccer tips for today for the La Liga clash between Granada and Barcelona on Sunday. The Catalans can’t allow themselves to make a mistake here – this could mean an increased gap between them and Real Madrid. At the same time Granada wants to escape the relegation zone, but it won’t be easy for them against Barca – they will need a lot of luck here.
