Stefano Pioli’s team will try to return to winning after one draw and one loss in the last two matches. In the previous round Milan hosted Atalanta at the San Siro, but only got a point after a 1-1 draw. Rafael Leao opened the scoring after just three minutes of playing, but Koopmeiners equalized at the end of the first half.
In the second half Pioli tried to change things, but without much of a success. Okafor and Musah entered the pitch but without the desired success. It’s quite surprising that Samuel Chukwueze and Tijani Reijnders didn’t play at all. They were good options to refresh Milan’s gameplan, but the manager didn’t trust them in this one.
There’s pressure on Stefano Pioli to stabilize Milan’s performances in the remaining months of the season. Most likely he will not coach the team next year, but he can still do some good at the San Siro. He’s a title-winning coach, but the last two seasons are not entirely successful for the Rossoneri.

Rafael Leao’s season so far is disappointing, though – just four goals in 23 games. The fans expect more from the Portuguese international and so far he’s not delivering.
Samuel Chukwueze could refresh Milan’s attack against Lazio. The Nigerian winger is still looking for his first win in the Serie A, but he’s still very dangerous because of his pace and agility. Chukwueze is rarely starting in the league, but maybe this time he’ll get the chance.
